Cooking Instructions:
Open Pot:
- For one cup of rice, soak in water for 20 minutes
- Boil two cups of water in an open pot, add soaked rice into boiling water
- Add salt to taste along with teaspoon of butter, margarine, or cooking oil
- You may also add vegetables to your liking
- Let it simmer on low heat until most of the water is absorbed into the rice
- Turn off the stove, and let rice stand for 10 minutes with lid on
- Gently puff up rice, and then serve
Rice Cooker
- Mix one cup of rice with two cups of water and put it in the rice cooker
- You may also add salt to taste, butter, margarine, or cooking oil and vegetables to your liking
- Most of the rice cookers are automatic and come with cooking instructions
- When ready, gently puff up rice and serve
