He taught beekeeping in Central American villages and travelled around the world learning about honey from various places, nurturing his passion as well as his wisdom along the way. Ted Dennard soon began bottling his own honey and handcrafting beeswax lip balms in his home town of Savannah, Georgia. Savannah Bee was finally established in 2002 when he quit his day job and mortgaged his home to continue pursuing his passions.
