What is the Market?

The Market is a section unique to home cooks. Like a virtual deli counter, the Market is the perfect way to try some of our best products in smaller portions. Don’t need a whole ribeye loin? Pick up some hand-cut steaks instead. Need some cheese for a cheese board but a whole wheel is too much? Here, you can buy it by the pound.

Help, my meat arrived but it looks gray/brown in the package!

Not to worry! Skin-packing and vacuum-sealing deprive the meat of oxygen, turning the meat dark in color. Once it has been defrosted and opened for a few minutes, the meat should return to its usual delicious red or pink.

Packaging

How will my order arrive?

For Professional Chefs:
- If you choose FedEx shipping at checkout, your order will be shipped to you in a Food Related branded shipping box.
- If you choose FR Delivery at checkout, the products in your order will be brought to your door in their original packaging, delivered in one of our Food Related branded refrigerated vehicles.
For Home Cooks:
- If you choose FedEx shipping at checkout, your order will be shipped to you in a Food Related branded shipping box.
- If you choose Home Delivery at checkout, your order will be brought to your door in a Food Related branded delivery box. All Home Delivery orders are delivered in refrigerated vehicles to keep your order fresh.

How are cold items shipped to me?

Cold items are always packaged in insulated cold bags with ice packs to ensure freshness. Outside of Texas, cold and frozen items must be shipped via expedited overnight shipping methods to avoid spoilage.

Home Cooks: If you choose to leave your order at the door, please note that we cannot be responsible for damaged or spoiled products after your order has been delivered.

How are Market products packaged?

Market products are all hand-cut, sliced, and packaged to order. Uncooked meats will be vacuum sealed in skin-packed trays for extended freshness and easy defrosting. Cured meats will arrive in vacuum-sealed bags. Cheese will come wrapped in cheese paper and a plastic delivery bag (if shipped.) Bulk products and desserts will come in resealable and recyclable plastic containers.

How do I defrost Market skin-packed meats?

Defrosting skin-packed meat is quick and easy. Simply place the unopened package in your sink and fill the cavity with cold water. Wait 30 minutes, or until the meat is completely defrosted, and you’re ready to cook!

How can I tell when my Market products will expire?

All Market products come to you clearly labeled with an expiration date.

What shipping methods do you offer?

Food Related ships exclusively with FedEx shipping methods. FedEx shipping options include FedEx Ground®, FedEx Standard Overnight® and FedEx Priority Overnight®. Available shipping options will depend on your location.

How can I track my order?

FedEx orders can be tracked in your account page. Go to Your Order, and select the order you’d like to track. Tracking information will appear at the top of your selected order.

How quickly can my order get to me?

Your order can get to you as soon as next day. To ensure expedited delivery, please make sure your shipping order is completed before 3pm CST.

Do you offer expedited shipping?

Yes, we offer expedited shipping. Select FedEx Standard Overnight® or FedEx Priority Overnight® for the fastest shipping possible.

How much does shipping cost?

Home Cooks: Food Related is proud to offer FREE shipping throughout Texas and Flat Rate shipping for the rest of the US through 2024! Any order over $99 qualifies for Free FedEx Ground® shipping in Texas, and $9.95 Flat Rate FedEx Ground® Shipping in the contiguous United States.

For orders under $99, a $4.95 Flat Rate fee will apply in Texas, and a $14.95 Flat Rate Fee will apply in the contiguous United States.

Additionally, any order containing cold or frozen items outside of Texas will be required to select FedEx Standard Overnight® or FedEx Priority Overnight® at checkout. Shipping cost will vary depending on order weight.

Please Note: Free and Flat Rate shipping orders placed after Thursday evening will be sent out the following Monday. This is to ensure your order will reach you fresh and on time.

Do you ship wine?

Yes we do! However, wine can only be shipped within Texas currently. Additionally, you must be home to sign for any order containing wine, or your order will be returned to the nearest FedEx facility for redelivery.

Please note: Food Related is not responsible for spoilage on any other products in your order in the event you are not home to accept your shipment.

Curbside & Home Delivery

How does Curbside work?

When you select Curbside at checkout, you select a date and time to come to our Schertz, TX warehouse to pick up your order.

Upon arrival, park in one of the numbered spots in front of the building, then text your order and spot numbers to the phone number listed on the Curbside Pickup sign. Your order will be brought out to you shortly!
Curbside is available Monday-Friday from 10:00am - 5:30pm, and on Saturday from 10:00am - 3:00 pm.
All Curbside orders have a 3-day pickup window from the day the order is ready to be picked up. If requested within the original pickup window, we will hold your items for an additional 48 hours.

How does Home Delivery work?

If you’re in the San Antonio area, select Home Delivery at checkout and we’ll bring your order to your door. Select a date and time at checkout for Food Related to deliver your order.

Non-expedited Curbside orders are completely FREE for all customers.

How quickly can my Home Delivery or Curbside order be ready?

Home Delivery orders can be ready as soon as the next day, excluding Sundays.

Curbside orders can be ready as soon as 2 hours from the time of order placement if Express Curbside is selected at checkout, excluding Sundays.

Do you offer express Curbside or Home Delivery?

We currently offer Express Curbside only. Express Curbside orders are ready to be picked up within 2 hours of placing your order. All Express Curbside orders have a flat fee of $4.95 regardless of the size of the order.

To ensure Express Curbside Pickup will be ready the same day, please place your order by 3pm CST.

How does “Leave at Door” work?

If you select “Leave at Door” at checkout, this will inform your Home Delivery driver to leave your order at your door. Although we deliver in refrigerated vans and pack your order with ice packs and insulated packaging, Food Related is not responsible for any spoilage that may occur if you decide to leave your order at the door.
Please note: If your order contains wine, you cannot select “Leave at Door” at checkout.

Do you offer Home Delivery or Curbside Pickup on wine?

Yes, any Home Delivery or Curbside Pickup order can contain wine. You will need to show valid ID to prove your age upon delivery or pickup. If you are unable to do so, Food Related will keep the wine at our warehouse and leave the rest of your order with you. Your wine will be available to pick up at our Schertz, TX warehouse the following day with valid ID.

How long does order processing take?

How do I cancel/modify an order?

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept most major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express, as well as Paypal payment methods.

Why is there an additional charge with Paypal?

If your order contains any catch weight items (any item priced by the pound), and you choose to pay with PayPal at checkout, please note that a temporary 10% charge will apply to your whole order. This temporary fee is to assure that we are able to charge the correct amount for the catch weight items in your order.
When your order has been fully processed and your catch weight items have been weighed, your PayPal account will be charged only with the total cost of your weighed order. Any remaining balance from the temporary 10% fee will be refunded.

How do I redeem Fam Rewards Points?

Fam Points can be redeemed any time you checkout. There is no minimum threshold needed before you can use them. Even if you only have a few points, you can still take a few cents off your order!

Every 100 points is equal to $1.00 when redeemed.

Gift Cards

Do you offer gift cards for purchase?

We currently do not offer gift cards for purchase, but eGift Cards will be available in the near future!

How will eGift Cards work?

When you purchase an eGift Card, you’ll first select an amount to apply to the card. You’ll have the option to include a message to the recipient, and add their email address. Once the eGift Card has been purchased, it will instantly be sent to the recipient’s inbox, along with a code to redeem it.

How will I redeem and use an eGift Card?

eGift Cards can be redeemed using the code provided. Entering the code will apply the balance of the card to your account. After the eGift Card has been redeemed, the code will no longer work. eGift Card balances are tied to the account used to redeem them.

Once the eGift Card has been redeemed, it can be used just like any other payment method. Select “Gift Card” under payment methods at checkout to use your balance towards your order.

If your gift card is not enough to cover then entire order cost, you will be prompted to add a secondary payment method to complete the purchase.

How will I be able check my balance?

You can check your eGift Card balance at any time by going to your Account Page. Your available balance will also show at checkout under payment methods.

Will I be able to send an eGift Card to a friend or family member?

Absolutely! When you purchase an eGift Card, you’ll be prompted to enter an email address for the recipient. You can even leave a note to your chosen recipient for any occasion.

Will I be able to transfer an eGift Card to someone else?

If the eGift Card has not been redeemed, you can freely transfer the code to them by sending the code directly or by forwarding the confirmation email containing the code to them.

If the eGift Card has already been redeemed, the balance is tied to the account that redeemed it. The balance cannot be transferred once the eGift Card has been redeemed.

Will eGift Cards expire?

No, Food Related eGift Cards will never expire. You'll always be able to use the provided code to redeem the full value of your eGift Card. Once redeemed, the balance will remain in your Food Related account until used by you.

Returns & Exchanges

Do you accept returns/exchanges?

Professional Chefs:
- At Food Related, we take pride in personally preparing each and every order. Still, we understand that issues may arise. If your delivery does not meet your expectations, we will work to ensure the situation is corrected in a timely manner. To qualify for credit, all returned products must be unopened, non-perishable, and in good condition. A restocking fee and other charges may apply.
- If there is an issue with a product or products in your order, a return/refund request must be made within 72 hours of delivery. Requests can be made directly through your RDM, or you can contact the Service department directly by phone: (210) 277-7930, or email: help@foodrelated.com
- Please thoroughly inspect all perishable items at time of delivery. Due to potential safety and product integrity issues related to handling and loss of temperature control, these items will no longer be returnable once delivery is completed. Hidden damage or quality issues will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
- Special Order Items are ordered and purchased by individual request only. Because of this, these items are unable to be resold and therefore do not qualify for returns - except when damages or issues with quality are found upon delivery.

Why is there an additional charge with Paypal?

If your order contains any catch weight items (any item priced by the pound), and you choose to pay with PayPal at checkout, please note that a temporary 10% charge will apply to your whole order. This temporary fee is to assure that we are able to charge the correct amount for the catch weight items in your order.
When your order has been fully processed and your catch weight items have been weighed, your PayPal account will be charged only with the total cost of your weighed order. Any remaining balance from the temporary 10% fee will be refunded.

What are the differences between Free Famies and VIP Famies?

How do I join the FamClub or renew my subscription?

Currently, all new and current members are automatically VIP Famies, FREE for a full year. We’re offering everyone a chance to try our amazing rewards program with no strings attached.

At the end of your year’s free trial, we’ll send a reminder to add a credit card to continue your subscription. So, if you love being a VIP Famie, we’d love to have you stay on!

If you choose not to continue as a VIP Famie, you’ll be made a Free Famie and lose access to VIP rewards. Any points earned will remain in your account.

How do I check my Rewards Points balance?

You can go to your FamClub Dashboard to check your Fam Points balance at any time.

How do I earn Fam Rewards Points?

Fam Points can be earned in a few different ways. Free Famies earn 1% of every order total in points, and VIP Famies earn 3% of every order total. All Famies are also able to review items they’ve purchased for extra points. We’ll also send you a little gift of points on your birthday each year, just to say thank you for being part of the FamClub.

How do I redeem Fam Rewards Points?

Fam Points can be redeemed any time you checkout. There is no minimum threshold needed before you can use them. Even if you only have a few points, you can still take a few cents off your order!

Every 100 points is equal to $1.00 when redeemed.

Is the FamClub free?

The FamClub is totally FREE for Free Famies, and FREE for the first year for VIP Famies. Give these Amazing Rewards a try commitment-free!

What are Double Point Days?

Occasionally Food Related will send out an email to VIP Famies letting them know that a Double Point Day is about to happen. On Double Point Days, VIP Famies will earn a whopping 6% back in rewards points with every purchase. It’s the perfect time to really stock up on those Fam Points!

Do you offer gift cards for purchase?

We currently do not offer gift cards for purchase, but eGift Cards will be available in the near future!

How will eGift Cards work?

When you purchase an eGift Card, you’ll first select an amount to apply to the card. You’ll have the option to include a message to the recipient, and add their email address. Once the eGift Card has been purchased, it will instantly be sent to the recipient’s inbox, along with a code to redeem it.

How will I redeem and use an eGift Card?

eGift Cards can be redeemed using the code provided. Entering the code will apply the balance of the card to your account. After the eGift Card has been redeemed, the code will no longer work. eGift Card balances are tied to the account used to redeem them.

Once the eGift Card has been redeemed, it can be used just like any other payment method. Select “Gift Card” under payment methods at checkout to use your balance towards your order.

If your gift card is not enough to cover then entire order cost, you will be prompted to add a secondary payment method to complete the purchase.

How will I be able check my balance?

You can check your eGift Card balance at any time by going to your Account Page. Your available balance will also show at checkout under payment methods.

Will I be able to send an eGift Card to a friend or family member?

Absolutely! When you purchase an eGift Card, you’ll be prompted to enter an email address for the recipient. You can even leave a note to your chosen recipient for any occasion.

Will I be able to transfer an eGift Card to someone else?

If the eGift Card has not been redeemed, you can freely transfer the code to them by sending the code directly or by forwarding the confirmation email containing the code to them.

If the eGift Card has already been redeemed, the balance is tied to the account that redeemed it. The balance cannot be transferred once the eGift Card has been redeemed.

Will eGift Cards expire?

No, Food Related eGift Cards will never expire. You'll always be able to use the provided code to redeem the full value of your eGift Card. Once redeemed, the balance will remain in your Food Related account until used by you.

Do you accept returns/exchanges?

Professional Chefs:
- At Food Related, we take pride in personally preparing each and every order. Still, we understand that issues may arise. If your delivery does not meet your expectations, we will work to ensure the situation is corrected in a timely manner. To qualify for credit, all returned products must be unopened, non-perishable, and in good condition. A restocking fee and other charges may apply.
- If there is an issue with a product or products in your order, a return/refund request must be made within 72 hours of delivery. Requests can be made directly through your RDM, or you can contact the Service department directly by phone: (210) 277-7930, or email: help@foodrelated.com
- Please thoroughly inspect all perishable items at time of delivery. Due to potential safety and product integrity issues related to handling and loss of temperature control, these items will no longer be returnable once delivery is completed. Hidden damage or quality issues will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
- Special Order Items are ordered and purchased by individual request only. Because of this, these items are unable to be resold and therefore do not qualify for returns - except when damages or issues with quality are found upon delivery.
